BREEDING DESCRIPTION
​
​The second generation of Croisades du Nord has been a number of years in the making. With the addition of Stromae and Targa we anticipate our second litter to be much different than Ionn and Onyx's litter. We are bringing together two complimentary dogs which should provide some spectacular puppies. We acquired both Stromae and Targa after spending a considerable amount of time in France working with and learning about new genetics. The decision was made years ago to bring these genetics together very specifically with an eye to the future by marrying this, our second generation of Croisades du Nord dogs, with the first.

This is a line breeding on such names as: Izawak du Banc des Hermelles, Endy du Banc des Hermelles, and Udex du Banc des Hermelles, and Judex. Other notable dogs include: Natawak des Guerriers Pacifiques, Octavius du Banc des Hermelles, Bunker du Banc des Hermelles, Douck des Cotes de l'Hermitage, Gala des Gargouilles du Gergovie, Arco du Clos Champcheny, Gavroche du Banc des Hermelles, Primo du Calvaire aux Acacias, and Reiser du Calvaire aux Acacias.
We expect the puppies from Stromae/Targa to be physically medium, fast, predatory with aggressive and a natural style. We also expect these puppies to be pro-social toward people and dogs. Both Stromae and Targa are natural jumping dogs. Both value and are extremely bonded with their people but are biddable toward being trained by others. They are both sensitive dogs and can be described as "point dogs" in French Ring.
Stromae and Targa display civility and will forwardly challenge people on their territory and we expect the puppies to adopt this trait as well. Both dogs have extreme drives for a ball and items of prey, including animals. Stromae and Targa are clear-headed and are environmentally stable in all situations. We also do believe these will be very active puppies once they mature. While Stromae has a clear "off switch", Targa does not. She has been taught to settle while inside, it is not a natural trait.

We believe Targa will complement Stromae's characteristics very well and she, along with her genetics, were specifically selected for this purpose. Both Stromae and Targa will have undergone extensive health screening through the OFA and Embark prior to breeding.
